Vehicle Detail
INTRODUCTION: Back in the summer of 1969, Soichiro Honda introduced the bike that turned the motorcycling world on its ear, and won the Daytona 200 in 1970. 1970 was the year of the Honda CB750… DESCRIPTION / CONDITION: Up for auction is a clean, well preserved, unrestored vintage 1970 Honda CB750 motorcycle. The bike starts easily and still runs strong. This motorcycle looks and sounds great! This Honda classic always turns heads, and generates admiring comments from fellow enthusiasts on the road. While this bike is not the rare 1969 sand cast (of which only 7414 were made); it has many of the same parts that appeared on the early sand cast bikes, which are also true to the 1970 CB750: The factory correct HM300 pipes, which are solid with good chrome. Original ducktail seat, which has a few minor splits (pointed out in the photo). Number “8” bolts. Original Honda C750 motorcycle factory tool kit, in the original vinyl pouch. Side covers and emblems, etc. This bike features 99.9% of the original candy blue/green Honda factory paint, with the exception of a couple of minor spot touch-ups performed with the correct Honda factory touch-up paint, decades ago by the previous owner. The frame has not been repainted, and is original to the bike. Please understand that this is a 40+ year old motorcycle; and while it is in exceptional condition for it’s age, it has a few minor blemishes consistent with that age. I have tried to point out the most prominent of these minor blemishes in the photos. These include: A few minor dings/chips on the gas tank. A scrape on the right side cover, near the oil fill cap which has been touched up with factory touch up paint. The bike is predominantly bone stock original, with the exception of a few common sense upgrades which include: A modern O-ring chain Newer Dunlop tires Koni rear shocks to improve handling (I will include the original factory shocks, should you wish to restore back to the stock originals) New battery (just purchased , charged and installed last week) Replacement hand grips Please refer to the attached photos for more detail on condition, as “a picture is worth a thousand words.” The bike has been ridden sparingly over the years, but routinely started, cleaned and polished, and run with fresh high octane fuel. Just took the bike out for a spin again yesterday, and it runs as strong as ever with no engine smoke. The gauges, lights, turn signals and horn all work. This bike is ready to ride! WARRANTY: Vehicle is sold "As-Is and Where-Is”. No Warranty or guarantee is expressed, implied or offered. TITLE: Seller has a clear Ohio title to the bike, and will sign over the title to the Buyer once complete payment has been received and verified by the Seller. TERMS & CONDITIONS: The winning bidder will be required to provide a $750 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. The remaining balance of the winning bid price is due within 3 business days after the close of auction, and is payable only via: wire transfer, cash, or CERTIFIED check. Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction's end, to make arrangements for final payment at that time. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding on this vintage classic! FINAL NOTE: I hope this bike goes to a good home! I have owned this bike for 20+ years. Previous owner was in Salt Lake City, UT where the climate is dry. It has always been garaged, and well cared for. Please note my 100% feedback rating and bid with confidence.
