Mechanicals: The mechanicals are all factory stock.  The motor runs exceptionally well.  It starts without hesitation on the first crank of the key.  It has healthy acceleration.  The transmission shifts smoothly and stays in gear.  The carbs are tuned, and the maintenance is current.  The speedometer, fuel gauge, and temp gauge work properly.  The odometer shows 27,503 but does not work. Body: The body has been professionally restored.  It is solid and rust-free.  Last year was the first time this car has ever been repainted, and there was no major damage.  Some of the original chrome shows wear, such as the wing window edges, so for a museum-level presentation a small amount of rechroming would be necessary.  A dash cover would also be in order.  Both bumpers are brand new, stainless.  The tires are brand new. The upholstery is brand new, along with the carpet.  The door seals and much of the other rubber on this car is brand new.  Much expense has gone into this car. The brand new car cover that cost three hundred dollars is included.  It is custom-fitted for the 544.
