Vehicle Detail
I have up for auction a 1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville with 40,070 actual miles as documented on the Virginia Title. It is equipped with a 429 V8 with four-barrel carburetor, automatic transmission, AM radio, power steering, power brakes, power antenna, power windows, and seat. The car does not have air conditioning. I purchased this vehicle in 2007 from a farmer in Orange, Virginia. He actually used this vehicle on his farm and when I found the car it was covered in red clay dust sitting in a building. The last time he had it on the road was 1980. Recently I have replaced the wheel brake cylinders, brake hoses, master cylinder, and brake shoes. I have also had the gas tank taken down and cleaned. The radiator was removed, cleaned, flushed, and tested. The car has recently had a new coil, points, condenser, wires, plugs, distributor cap, vacuum advance, and starter bendix installed. The vehicle runs great and the transmission shifts fine. About a year ago I had the car repainted with a good paint job that still has minor flaws possibly requiring some additional buffing, but the paint is very presentable. At the time the car was repainted it was discovered that the lower bumper points on the front bumper had rusted through due to caked up red mud from the farm. The body shop could not readily locate replacement bumper points, therefore the body shop repaired and repainted the bumper points. At this time I am not satisfied with the bumper points and I would suggest finding replacements. The car does have the following problems: 1. The right door window does not work. 2. The left rear quarter window does not work. 3. The power seat is missing its relay. 4. The exhaust needs to be replaced and the estimated cost is approximately $350.00. 5. The car still has polyester tires from the late 60s. 6. There is a small dent in the rear bumper on the left side. 7. The seats will need to be recovered (see pictures). 8. The carpet will need to be replaced. 9. The Coupe DeVille script emblems will need to be reinstalled on the rear quarter panels. The body shop left them off of the vehicle and are in the glove box. The floors as well as the trunk floor appear to be solid (see pictures). The dash pad is not cracked and the headliner is complete with no holes or sag. The vehicle is being sold without a reserve. The vehicle is currently being sold as-is and where-is with no warranty implied or expressed. Make sure to ask any and all questions prior to bidding on this vehicle. A deposit of $500.00 dollars will be required within 5 days from the close of auction. The buyer is responsible for shipping and transport. The high bidder can make additional arrangements with seller if both agree. Full payment is required within 10 days of auction's close. Cash or Cashiers Check/Money Order. Please note title and car will be held until method of payment clears the bank. As mentioned earlier please ask all your questions prior to bidding. Any questions will be answered honestly, because I do not want anyone to be dissatisfied.
