Vehicle Detail

Aged like fine wine. I'm the second owner, bought nearly 4 years ago. Original owner was a little old lady in California who used it as a highway car and kept it tucked away in her garage. BMW repurchased the car back from her because the high-pressure fuel pump kept going bad. BMW often does this, especially in California, to promote customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. This was a well-documented problem with these cars. In 2010 BMW came out with a new design and there have been no problems AT ALL on ANY BMW using the new design. Since it was replaced in 2010 I've never had an issue with this. BMW has warrantied the pump through 120k miles. CLICK HERE to read the fuel pump recall notice from BMW. Title is now CLEAR as Alabama is a title wash state. The "accident" on the report was a lady bumped me with her trailer hitch in a parking lot which put a hole in the rear bumper which was then replaced. I watched it happen as I ate a sandwich on a restaurant patio. No structural damage, just the bumper. I can probably find pictures if I dig deep enough if that's a big concern to you. I used it primarily as my highway car (commute on motorcycle) and keep it in the garage both at home and whenever I take it to work. Purchased just under 4 years ago as my dream car. Wanted one since the ever came out. Lame, I know. Selling only because a family member traded in a Porsche and the dealership was going to give them pennies for it so I bought it instead. Had planned to keep this 335i forever and maintained it as such, just couldn't pass on the other deal. I'd keep both if I had the room. You won't find one with better history and a warranty to boot! The car does have 100k miles so it has some rock chips and bumper/hood imperfections as to be expected, but the rest of the car is immaculate, especially mechanically. Some of the maintenance items:Transmission pan gasket and fluid replaced at 60k milesSpark plugs replaced at 90k milesRear differential fluid replaced with royal purple at 90k milesOil changes every 2-3k milesFront control arms and sway bar links replaced at 80k miles (the bushings go bad and suspension feels spongy - was more a preventive maintenance than a fix)Shocks replaced at 65k miles with BMW performance shocksIntake valves were walnut blasted at 80k miles ($600 procedure - the car runs AMAZING since then)BOTH headlights replaced at 90k miles (with same OEM BMW Adaptive Xenon HID headlights that came on it from the factory)Serpetine belt replaced around 85k milesPower steering pump replaced around 85k milesCoolant flushed/filled yearlyI'm sure I'll be coming back to edit to add more as I remember. A few minor upgrades:Came from factory with OEM BMW M-Tech bumpers and side skirtsIntercooler replaced with upgraded unit (ETS) to help keep the engine cool in summer monthsFlimsy plastic stock steering wheel replaced with beefier leather steering wheel from BMW M3BMW OEM "blackline" tail lights20" window tint in front to match rear windowsComes with Passport 8500x50 radar detector hardwired into the car via fuse boxComes with OEM BMW sunshade (always used few times I parked in sun) Car comes with the balance of a BUMPER TO BUMPER 4yr/48k mile warranty purchased on 8/27/2010 at 59,475 miles. Warranty is backed by Ford but you can take it to ANY shop including any BMW dealer. CLICK HERE for details of what the warranty covers. Have never had a problem getting any of the above repairs under warranty, been a great thing to have the few times I've needed it. Buying a car with a warranty you can rest assured the car will perform AS ADVERTISED, and if any problems arise you have 3 months to get them remedied! You will NOT find this on many used cars. If you have any questions or want more/specific pictures I'm happy to oblige. Car is pictured with 19" MORR vs8.2 wheels with good rubber. These are available for $2k in addition to the final sales price. Otherwise car will come with the BMW OEM 18" sport wheels and run-flat tires with good tread.
