Excellent example of the sought after 03 ALH engine code TDI wagon. As the TDI afficionados know the ALH motor combined with the reliable & trouble free manual 5 spd trans makes this TDI one of the most fuel stingy and long lasting of all the TDI models. I've recently done (within the last 100 miles) extensive service work to various parts of the car. The timing belt slipped time on a cross country trip last month and so I ended up replacing the following parts in the head as well as having the head bored & machined by a very reputable engine rebuild shop here locally. Replaced all valves & guides All lifters New camshaft & all associated seals Deluxe timing belt purchased from Bora parts Beru (German manufactured) Glow Plugs New OEM oil pan (old one had a very slight leak) All new fluids (Lubri moly diesel high tech oil & VW proper coolant) All new filters New battery (proper cold cranking rated) Bilstein HD shocks New coolant temp sensor New rear brakes I have two remote keys, original owners manual as well as the original window sticker, full sized spare w/complete jack kit Kenwood Bluetooth friendly stereo which includes navigation ability w/remote & ipod adaptor (see photo) I'm sure there are a few other things I'm forgetting but all parts were replaced w/OEM German made parts (Including everything that went back into the head) I've recently invested way more then I was planning but wanted to repair the needed items & do it the "right" way using the best parts available.
