Vehicle Detail
So, what we have for sale here is best described as an excellent donor vehicle to convert your nice 2wd Vanagon into a Syncro. All of the relevant Syncro parts are there and in decent shape, but the body shell is as you can see, pretty terrible. I don't have a ton of history on this vehicle, bought it in New York a few years ago with the idea that i'd either fix it up and drive it or swap parts over to the blue van you can see in a couple of the pictures, but never got around to either. It was in some sort of accident with the previous owner, I think I remember him saying something like a Kia or something ran into the side of it. I did have it running at one point, the engine didn't sound good, so I wouldn't presume anything about that, more recently it stopped starting because one of the injectors rusted out and popped apart. Yup, the injector rusted out. It's a pretty rusty vehicle in some places. I haven't driven it anywhere but around the driveway, but everything seemed to more or less work, the drive shaft is out of the van and sitting on the floor, was in good shape as far as I recall. Previous owner claimed the viscous coupling had been recently replaced. The suspension parts that are specific to the Syncro are in pretty good shape. If there's anything specific that I didn't picture that would be useful to know, I can do my best to take pictures and post them up here. In case you missed it, this is not a vehicle that you should expect to come and pick up and drive home, it doesn't run, and that's probably the least of it's issues at this point. Best bet here would be to get a hold of me and come take a look at the van, bring your trailer and some cash and either take it or leave it. Link to all the pictures I have of it is Here .
