Vehicle Detail
This is your opportunity to own a Californian survivor for almost half a century! This truck's been with the same family for years. Just taken out of storage from the Bay area. Low tech dead reliable pickup, easy to work on, with all that space under the hood! Mostly original with a big block Torino 390 V8. No engine light or smog ever! Body is solid, has no chassis, floor rust or serious damage. There is a bump on the hood, where the "O" logo had come off, barely noticeable. Original paint is still glossy as can be seen in the pictures. Long bed floor could use paint as this truck did haul sand. Windows, latches and locks all work as they should. It still has good tires and brakes. Nothing is missing and everything works, (except as noted below.) Does not run hot or leak oil. Runs, drives and stops in its present condition. Was driven 90 miles just today to get it here. It got 15+ MPG, ...... amazing and true! (Put in 10 gal. on empty 20 gal. tank, and still has quarter tank on the gauge.) If this does not get a bid, I'll re list after sending it in my neighbor's shop to get the following items taken care of. Or you can save money and enjoy pride of ownership while getting it back to its full glory. This is what we know it needs: Amp meter not moving. It is charging at 14V. Carb needs work. Pedal way down to throttle. Inconsistent. May need rebuild.Power steering box comes with truck. Need pump. It has manual steering now.Horn ring came loose. 3 Teflon nut retainers broken.Dash pad is partially taken off getting ready for a new one. (See picture.)Seat cover is worn driver side. Seat back is fine. Seat cover goes with truck. Knobs to put on radio to hold it in place. Original AM radio works! With some TLC this would be a nice daily driver.
