This is my 1994 Jaguar XJ6, without exaggeration, a truly spectacular example, perhaps one of the very best ever offered for sale. I don’t care for hype, or folks who make a car sound better than it actually is. I will describe every aspect of this XJ in detail, so that if you are interested in it, you will know exactly what’s what. THERE IS NO RUST OR CORROSION whatsoever on this magnificent XJ6, including the underside. This XJ6 has never seen winter, never a snowflake or road salt. It has only rarely seen rain. I purchased it in Florida several years ago, where it has spent its life. It has always been garaged, and it shows in every detail. If you look underneath this Jaguar, you will see that the underside looks so clean that it appears as though it emerged from the end of the assembly line only weeks before. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been involved in an accident. All panels are original. Appearance: The finish “glows”. It’s really beautiful, handsome, with nothing significant to detract from the appearance. The few stone chips have always been retouched. The pin-striping has a couple of minor blems, but is overall very good. I believe the body color is called “Garnet Red”, and it has the corresponding tan leather interior. The leather seats, front and rear, look like new, with no marks whatsoever, no discernible wear. The original carpets are clean and excellent. The book-matched wood trim is beautiful, with only a slight hint of age. The headliner is like new. Stainless steel and chrome trim is perfect, without a mark. This is a vehicle that always turns heads. It is a pristine example of what many Jaguar enthusiasts regard as the best year ever of this series of XJ6, known by many as the XJ40 (factory model designation) series. Component Condition: With only 106,000+ miles, the engine, transmission, and entire drive-line is in excellent condition, with no deferred maintenance. Engine has had regular oil and filter changes. It has been recently tuned, with all new ignition components and filters. There is a recently new alternator and battery. Transmission has been regularly serviced with filter and fluid changes. Front shock absorbers are recent Bilsteins. The original exhaust system is completely solid. Suspension, including ball-joints, tie-rod ends, steering rack, etc. is all tight and excellent. Brakes were replaced when I bought this car 4 years ago, and I have driven it only 8000 miles since then. Tires are Michelin Symmetry with at least 75% tread life left. The cast aluminum wheels are very pretty. Equipment: It is fully equipped, there were no factory options available because everything was included as standard. The usual items are present, such as Power Seats, Windows, Mirrors, Locks, Sunroof, Cruise Control, stereo, etc., and all work as intended. The heating and A/C work perfectly. The factory radio and power antenna work as they should. How does it drive and perform? In a word, perfectly. It is quiet, refined, handsome, and when needed, quick.
