This is an original early 1968 Empi Imp Dune Buggy with the original body tag. Still registered on the original black California plates. Empi badge on hood and Empi logo plate frame on back. Empi shifter, new chrome wheels and recent tires, good running 1600cc dual port engine with 12 volt electrics and functional lights. Electric fuel pump, full roll cage with rear shocks tied into the frame. Bikini top, full harness seat belts, billet aluminum battery hold down, recent windshield and frame, billet mirrors, teardrop taillights and a whole host of other upgrades. Has a fairly stock and mild suspension so it is quite smooth on the trails and is very streetable. It is road registered and legal in California. Check your own state. It is titled as a 1968 Special Construction vehicle so it is smog legal and never needs inspection. Older restoration paint wise but it still shows well. A few scratches here and there from use but no cracks or damage to the body...it is a great summer play toy indeed!! Plus, being an original early first generation 68 Imp with the numbered tag, it is a very collectible buggy indeed!
