I purchased this '82 GL500 Silverwing Interstate this spring with the intent to get back into riding but have changed my mind. I bought it from the original owner who stopped riding due to his health. It has been well maintained and garage kept since new. The condition is outstanding, with signs of honest use but not abuse. The previous owner was in his 40s when he bought it new (he's mid 70s now) and told me the bike has never been over 65mph, and I believe him. There are a few chips and scuffs but nothing that takes away from its great overall look. The close up photo of the side cover shows the worst spot on the bike. The bike starts easily and runs great with no smoke or rattles. The rear tire is like new and the front is good but not new. It has a current PA inspection that expires in October. The photos do a good job representing the condition of this motorcycle. It is very nice but please remember it is a 32 year old bike and is not showroom new. I owned a Silverwing Interstate years ago and they are great bikes, which is why I bought this one. They really are baby Goldwings and are known for comparable reliability and longevity. I have no doubt that you could ride this bike cross country as it sits, but of course it is being sold as is with no warranty. If the winning bidder is dissatisfied with the bike when its picked up, I will refund any money paid. I have a clear PA title, in my name, that must be transferred out of my name before the bike can be released. I will accept Paypal or check, but the check must clear my bank before the bike can be released. Please be aware that it could take as long as 2 weeks until your check clears at my bank. I will only accept cash payment if you want to pay at pickup. The bike must be picked up at my house in Mechanicsburg PA 17050. If you want to ship the bike you must make all arrangements and I will work with your shipper. I have loading ramps at my house and help you load the motorcycle onto a pickup truck or trailer. Thanks for looking. Added: Upon review of the photos I noticed the picture of the instrument cluster shows a spot on the gas tank near the bottom of the photo. I think that is an insect sitting on the tank. It is not a blemish on the tank.
