Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my beautiful 1965 Ford F-250 Custom Cab 2wd, this truck has a 360 big block that was rebuilt in 2006, it has a Borg Warner 4 speed manual transmission. The paint is only about a month old and looks awesome, the bed has been rhino lined with a tinted liner to match the outside of the truck, the inside of the toolbox has also been rhino lined. it turns heads and draws a crowd everywhere it goes, the tires are new and have lots of tread left, the exhaust is new and sounds great, it has an Alpine CD player with iPod hookup, everything on this truck works. Right now the truck has no bumpers on it, I have the original bumpers that can go with the truck to the new owner but they were pretty beat up so I left them off. LMC truck has new chrome bumpers for $189 each. I recently drove this truck 3400 miles from Portland Oregon, south through Utah (drove it on the salt flats) and across the country home to Connecticut (I wouldn't hesitate for a second to drive it back across the U.S. either). It never gave me a single problem whatsoever, it was an amazing trip. the truck averaged 15 miles per gallon and was a pleasure to drive. The engine is very healthy and idles with 50 psi oil pressure and makes plenty of power, the clutch grabs good and the transmission shifts good. Being from the west coast this truck has never rotted out, with the exception of the forward most part of the bed which has been patched, ALL the sheet metal on this truck is OEM and original from 1965, which is the reason I went so far to get it. The cab corners, rockers, wheel openings, floors etc are all OEM sheet metal and never rusted out. All the glass is original OEM Ford as well. It saddens me more than you will ever know to be writing this ad and listing this truck for sale but at this time I need to invest money into my business to keep it going and unfortunately I have to let it go. I have kept in touch with the original owner of this truck and would be happy to forward his contact info over to the new owner. I would also love to stay in contact with the new owner if possible and maybe buy it back someday down the road if circumstances would have it. I will add pictures of the engine bay and some youtube videos of the truck running and driving as soon as the weekend is over (busy with family stuff till then). The pictures I've included in this listing show the truck the way it looks right now (shiny blue) and some of the way it looked before paint on my trip across the country. All of the pictures of the truck shiny are exactly the way it looks right now and all were taken this week. please feel free to email me with any questions at all. Thanks for taking the time to read my ad -RyanOn May-30-14 at 06:07:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Please watch my YouTube video below to see and hear the truck running and driving.
