Well I'm sure no expert on FJ-40's, but a friend of mine has owned this land cruiser for a long time. The last 2 years or so it has been stored in a barn.( he now lives on a yacht).It's 45 years old, and certainly not perfect, but it is still a neat vehicle. Heres what I know about it...It still has it's original running gear. When he did the lift-kit/tall tire thing, He put low gears in it as well. (4:88 or 4:56?).It has a few goodies such as a lift kit, Davis ignition, special intake manifold, headers remote oil filter, etc. I actually started it right up and it runs well.It puffed a bit of smoke and may need valve seals? It may need to just be driven?Either way it would be a fun project. It also has a new soft top with the roof bows etc.It also comes with the original wheels, as well as the factory skid plate.(all of this is in the rear ). This land cruiser is 44 years old and I am selling it "as -is". If I do not sell it , I may get it up and roadworthy again... Drive it for a couple of years,then give it to my grandson. It' s sure not perfect, but this would make a fun driver, or better yet, a candidate for restoration perhaps. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disappointed in anyway.It is a bit of a project and a bit dirty from sitting idle in the barn. I have a clear Colorado title for it. My opening bid is $ 2,800.00 with no reserve. Now... all this having been said... I can't imagine finding a neater FJ-40 like this one for the price. I think that whoever ends up with it will be very pleased...Just my thoughts. Terms of sale...I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company.
