Vehicle Detail
This auction is for one of the nicest 2006 F350 pickups you will ever find. I keep up on all maintenance and never let any of my vehicles sit outside. Other than going with the King Ranch, I'm not sure of any options you could get that are not on this truck. I am the 2nd owner of this truck and it has been a fantastic truck and that's why I've held off on selling it for nearly a year. Besides all of the obvious and listed options, this truck has the factory Tow Boss package which gives it a stronger rear differential, heavy duty shocks and a limited slip differential. The 4X4 works just fine and is easily controlled on the dash. It has the backup beepers from the factory, but since it is so long, I installed a backup camera when I got the truck. The interior is in near mint condition and I put in the WeatherGuard floor mats in as soon as I got the truck. As you can see from the exterior, it's difficult to find any flaws in the truck. I'm not sure it has ever sat outside a single night since I bought it back in 2008 and I was told it was garaged by the original owner. Everything on the truck works perfectly. The engine starts quickly, has no smoke or blow by, and runs great. It had a slight oil leak when I bought it (I cannot stand any sort of leaks with my vehicles) so I took it to my local Ford dealer to have it fixed. The leak was from a 'skirt gasket' or something like that and many dealers do not have a diesel mechanic competent enough to correctly replace that gasket. It just so happened that, after talking to the diesel tech at the dealership, that he was really into diesel drags and diesel pulling. This engine is bone stock, but I asked him if there was anything I could do to make sure I'd have no future engine problems. Since he was going to have the engine apart under warranty to properly repair the oil leak, he told me that I needed to buy ARP head studs for the truck, some aftermarket high performance head gaskets, and an EGR delete kit. He explained to me that doing so would make my 6.0 PSD 'bulletproof'. So, I followed his instructions and the ARP head studs, upgraded head gasket were installed and the EGR valve removed during the oil leak repair. I've not had a single leak from the truck since then and it has been fantastic. Even if I don't plug it in (apparently it has the cold weather kit), it still starts up no problem when outside temps are below zero. It burns no oil and does not smoke. It has never been modified and the tech who worked on it back in 2008 said the engine looked like new inside. As you can see from the pictures, the truck is in exceptional condition for a 2006 pickup. There are a couple marks in the bedliner, but I figure that is why it has a bedliner. Just over a year ago a girl hit the front bumper on the driver's side and dented the bumper and scratched the tow hook on that side (I have a picture of it if anyone wants to see), and I had a brand new bumper installed along with a new tow hook (I'd never used them so they were not scratched before she scratched the driver's side one) put on by the number one rated body shop in the country. Obviously, I've not had any issue since. Since it only dinged the bumper, it obviously did NOT set off any airbags nor do any frame or other damage. I was just furious because she dented the bumper on my pride and joy truck. I've always used Amsoil 15w40 engine oil and have changed it every 5000 miles. The truck literally needs nothing. It drives and rides as nice as it looks. The best I can tell, if you want to get a nicer pickup just like this, it's going to cost about $40,000 more to buy a brand new model just like this one. If you're ready to tow your camper to Alaska today, this truck us up for the task. The factory tow package includes all of the trailer brake controls as well as trailer lighting etc. If you have any questions, just ask. Winning bidder is responsible to pick up the truck where it sits or make their own arrangements to get it. A down payment of $500 is payable right away via PayPal and the remainder via certified funds when you pick up the truck. I have the clear title in hand and there has never been any lien on the truck. Thanks for looking and good luck!!On May-24-14 at 11:48:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes, I am aware that this truck is by far the best buy out of all of the 2006 F350 4X4 diesel dually's on eBay. I intentionally included a picture of the bottom of the engine to show that, since it has never been hot rodded, it has no leaks of any sort. I simply priced this truck to sell. Compare it to the others listed. The buyer of this truck simply gets the best deal. Thanks for the questions and emails.
