This is a 1972 Olds Delta 88 Royale 2 Door Hardtop Coupe still in great condition registered with the Oldsmobile Club of America. The information I have is that the original owner had the car until he passed in 2011. He used it minimally from 2000 to 2011. Left it to his daughter who sold it to me on original title in 2012. I have used it as a daily driver and trip car since then. Only one previous owner since new who serviced the car regularly since 1972. This is an unrusted western car from San Diego, Nevada. Comes with original Owner's Manual, Protecto Plate, Delivery Sheet, and Build Sheet. Currently titled in California and registered until May 2015 in California. This 88 is nicely equipped with Air-Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Front Seat, and Power Remote Interior Trunk Release. Glass is lightly tinted. InteriorInterior is in excellent condition, (no cracks on the dash.) Seats are in great condition, no rips or tears. Headliner looks perfect. Shoulder belts still in like new condition. Radio was upgraded in the 80's but the original GM Delco radio is included. Carpet is original and in great condition. Original Oldsmobile floor mats are still in use although show some wear. Steering wheel without cracks and in good condition but shows typical delamination of the wood trim ring. Doors both close tightly without shakes or rattles. All power windows and seat still functioning as they were meant to. Seat Belt Buzzer still buzzes when you shift into drive if you're not buckled-up. ExteriorThis is a driver quality car with the original vinyl roof and one repaint in the 80's which has developed a nice patina of its own, (see photos). It has small scratches, and dings consisted with average use. The paint shines-up nicely with minimal waxing and light polishing. Performance It has the Big Block 455 4 Barrel Dual Exhaust with the 3 speed 400 Turbo Hydramatic, Positraction with Heavy Duty Suspension.Runs beautifully, smooth cruiser in good driver condition. I drove it from San Diego to Reno three times last year and it sailed across HWY 395, over the Sierras, like it was 1972. I included a roadside photo taken just outside of June Lake, (elevation approximately 7000 ft.) If you miss driving the big bodied GM cars of the early 70's you can appreciate a road trip like the one from San Diego to Reno. Floats down the highway with the subtle rumble of the 455 big block, no wind noise leaks, shakes, or rattles. 1972 Engine is Original, (unrebuilt) but in 1972 GM anticipated the change to unleaded gas and built these engines with hardened valve seats. The engine is tight and dry, without any oil leaks.
