Vehicle Detail

Here is a very unique 1967 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with two toned paint. It has a Chevy engine and Chevy transmission. The brakes have been converted as well. It now operates on a Hydroboost system. This is not a collector Rolls Royce. It was built for someone to drive, enjoy and not worry about high service costs. I am going to write everything I know about this car and if you have any ?s please feel free to write me. I am posting a link to my photobucket page. It has 150 pics of the car on it. So there are a lot more than the 4 posted. If you have a difficult timeviewing them send me your email address and I will email you the pictures. Please click on the link below to see the car. I bought this car with the intention of enjoying it and driving it 3 times per week or so. After getting the car I realize it is more than I want to tackle in a fun car. First off it runs and drives great. The engine always starts right up hot or cold. It idles smooth and pulls great considering the car is very heavy. It doesn't leak any oil or transmission fluid. At least it hasn't since I have owned it. The engine seems smooth at all times. I had it all looked over and some carb work done on it. Transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and before I got it the previous owner had the electronic shifter rebuilt. It doesn't leak and works great. I drove the car for 30 mins and idled for a while and it never ran hot or anything like that. I always wanted one that was converted because cost of ownership is so much less. The braking system has been converted to a hydroboost system that runs off the power steering pump Gone are the accumulators, valve bodies, rat trap etc. Easy to source parts. No more $5K brake services. The brakes stop great. I was very impressed with them. I haven’t had any problems with the brakes at all. I considered this a huge plus b/c RR brakes are so expensive to maintain and most of the time go unfixed b/c they are so difficult to service also. Exterior is a nice two toned paint scheme. The body has lots of imperfections The car looks good from ten feet away but when you get closer you see a lot of issues. I bought it thinking great I won't be afraid to park it in a lot and if it gets a scratch no big deal. Please look at all the pictures I provided. It will do a better job explaining it than I can. The roof the paint is faded and weak. The trunk has a large paint chip. The front passenger's side corner by the fog lamp has had bad body work done on it. It isn't very nice at all. It has many paint chips that were touched up but the colors don't match well. It does have some rust on the lower rocker panels and on the C pillars and front roof by the windshield. The body isn't very nice. This is a driver. Interior has been redone in a cloth velour type material. The seats don't look bad but the front door panels need to be redone to look nice. Carpet is old and has seen better days. The wood has been refinished at best by an amateur. Like I said this car needs to go to someone who just wants to have a running and driving RR and can tinker on it themselves. No part of this car will be a show car or a collector car. Headliner looks pretty good. Power windows don't work. The wiring is disconnected at the switch. I had it looked at they said it needed a new switch. I did obtain a new switch but didn't get it replaced. The new switch comes with the car. I was told the rear windows worked fine when I purchased the car. The seats don't move except for the recline. Not sure why. Headlights work. Turn signals and brake lights work. Horn doesn't work. Like I said this is more than I want to tackle. Tires are fairly new and look great. Wheel are in pretty good shape. It needs a new battery. It has a duralast in it from 2011 so they may pro-rate it. Biggest issues are body and paint. No cracks in any of the glass. The trunk original carpet is there but has holes in it. The trunk itself seems pretty rust free. Bumpers have dings. See pictures. http://s555.photobucket.com/user/f308/library/?sort=2&page=1 Please review all of the pictures provided. I posted a link to photobucket. You should see 150 pictures or more.
