Up for auction is a beautiful 100% original 1981 Honda CBX Super Sport. This bike is in amazing condition and has always been stored indoors. The paint still shines like new and there are no dents or major flaws whatsoever. There is a very light, almost unnoticeable inch long scratch on the rear seat cowl. The black engine paint is still bright and has none of the typical fading or blemishes that are normally found on a 33 year old motorcycle. The Comstar wheels are in perfect shape. There are no chips or pitting on the front forks. The seat has no tears or rips and looks new. All of the instrument gauges and handlebar switches are are still bright and retain the original paint. Most of the engine side cases were polished and shine beautifully. There are what looks to be fingernail scratches on the rear passenger handles from the previous owner. Cosmetically, I would say this bike is easily a 9 out of 10. This motorcycle was purchased more than a year ago to add to a personal collection. Since the purchase, it has been ridden very sparingly and kept in a climate controlled showroom. Some things were addressed upon receiving the bike to get it in running and riding order. The fork seals were replaced and 20W Belray fork oil added. There was a heavy oil leak coming from the cylinder head cover, so the engine was dropped and all OEM gaskets were installed. The carburetors were disassembled, ultrasonic cleaned, and rebuilt. New EBC clutch plates were also installed and front and rear brakes were bled. The oil and filter were changed as well. The battery, drive chain, spark plugs and tires were also replaced. Because the bike was being added to a collection that already contained a CBX which is driven quite regularly, the fuel was drained and this bike was put on display for the last year or so. After adding fuel to the bike, it started right up, however a tuneup might be in order after sitting for so long. We will require a nonrefundable Pay Pal deposit of $500.00 within 24 hours of the auction closing and remaining balance to be paid in full before the bike is picked up. The transaction will need to be completed via wire transfer before the bike is released. We will be listing a few more pristine motorcycles in the coming weeks. Although, this is only the second item listed for sale on this account, I have sold many motorcycles over the past 10 years on a previous account with 100% feedback with my father. I have come to work for a collector and will no longer be operating under JWsDream Machines (Google to see bikes we have sold in the past).
