Up for sale is my 1955 Chevy Truck. I found this truck sitting in a side yard for better than 20 years with a blown up 6 cylinder. This truck has been mechanically rebuilt. ENGINE: Rebuilt 283 with rebuilt Quadrajet. Also installed were a new water pump, fuel pump, engine mounts, alternator with internal regulator, new belt, and hoses. Additionally the radiator has been recored. A five speed trans was also installed with a new clutch assembly including flywheel and pilot bushing. INTERIOR: The original seat frame was sandblasted and powder coated and then upholstered with new foam and tuck and roll vinyl. It has new window regulators and new door glass. All window rubber and weather stripping was changed. A new Classic Instruments speedometer cluster replaces the original gauge cluster. The dash knobs have been replaced as have the headlight and ignition switches. The factory radio is there and working. Deluxe heater with new heater valve. The blower motor is a little noisy but it works. BRAKES and SUSPENSION: The leaf springs have been recurved to lower the truck about 3 inches. They were installed with all new shackles and shocks. The brakes are fully rebuilt with new shoes, springs, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, hoses, and hard lines. E-brake works too. Truck stops great. New Coker Classics radial tires, 6.50-16 in the rear and 6.00-16 up front. These tires drive like a radial but look like the original bias. BODY: The body is in original condition with small dents throughout and some rust in all the usual places. The floors are rust free. The bed had house paint on it when I got it so I had it sandblasted and primered. There are no secrets hiding under the primer. The bed floor has new oak. OTHER: The truck was also completely replumbed with new fuel lines front to back, and all brake lines new as well. As 55 Chevy trucks go this one drives down the road very nice. It is reliable and very useable. Please ask questions.
