Up for sale is my 1991 Toyota land cruiser. 4x4/AWD, automatic transmission, 4.0L inline six cylinder engine. Engine: Vehicle has 238k miles. Runs good/strong. Typical valve train noise for a high mileage Toyota but nothing out of the ordinary. No knocks, ticks or anything. Looks pretty stock/original with the exception of the mass airflow sensor, couple hoses, water pump, power steering pump, and gear box which look like they have been replaced. Very dependable. Washer reservoir is broken and will need to be replaced. Fuse box cover is missing. Engine leaks oil, I added dye but couldn't find where it's coming from. I had the front seal, oil pan gasket, and rear main seal replaced. My guess is the pushrod cover gasket, oil switch, or the cooler lines near the oil switch. No smoke doesn't burn oil. Passed smog last year without issues. Exhaust will need to be repaired/replaced as I think it has a leak. A/C doesn't work. I believe it needs to be charged. Heater works fine. Transmission: Seems to mis-shift around 20mph in second gear only at slow speeds causing the engine to rev an extra 100 rpm. No noise/grinding or crazy jerking but does it once in a while. I've gone on the highway several times with no problems. I was told it might be a computer related error since it only happens at low speeds. Looks like its leaking from the drain plug. I had the transmission serviced and didn't really make a difference. Also had the front seal replaced. Transfer case works good. Has high and low with center diff lock. This truck climbs with ease. Interior: Quite well for a vehicle over 20 years old. Only the drivers seat shows signs of wear and has tears. Door panels in great condition. Power windows work but have issues. Front drivers regulator makes noise when fully closed. I usually leave it 1/4" open to prevent this. I have issues with the front passenger and rear drIver side window switches. Once wiggled they work. I think the switches have false contact. Carpet is dirty and torn on the front driver side. I have new rubber floor mats on the vehicle. Two interior door handle bezels are broken but still in place. Interior is blue/grey. Has the third row seat that fold sideways. Dash is in excellent condition no cracks. Aftermarket CD player. No antenna, I removed it as the mast was broken. Sunroof works flawlessly. Center console has holes near the 4x4 shifter as if something was mounted. Rear tailgate drop handle is missing. Missing the tailgate bolt that prevents the tailgate from falling on the passenger side. I don't have keys for the doors only for the ignition. I have a remote that opens the doors but the casing is broken. Brakes: Need to be gone through. Brakes feel spongy and master cylinder leaks. Suspension: Seems to travel at times. Needs tires. Sometimes wobbles but think its because of the tires. Has Bilstein shocks age unknown but feel ok no suspension noise. Vehicle has a 2-3" lift. Body: Pretty straight no cancer. Looks like the front passenger door was side swiped. Looks like rear passenger area was damaged at one point and repaired. I noticed months after I purchased it only because the paint was cracking there. Taillight doesn't seem to fit flush due to repair. No other body parts around that area seem to be effected/repaired. Will post pictures. Front bumper missing. Surco safari rack with Yakima towers and 58" bars. Paint on rack is chipping. Overall good reliable vehicle but needs love. Has never left me stranded or anything. This was our third/spare vehicle that was used mainly on Sundays for family outings with the kids and our Shepherd. Would make a great diesel swap.
