Vehicle Detail

You are looking at my 1975 Ford F250 Custom HD High Boy 4x4 truck. I bought it 3 years ago out of a barn where it had sat since 1991. It was originally a plow and maintenance truck for a local small airport so it only has 55,042 miles on it currently. It has a 360 V8 with a 4 speed transmission (granny gear 1st). No oil leaks either! I believe the rear end has a Dana 60 and the front is a Dana 44HD (closed knuckle). The ratio is 4:10. I put a few bucks into it and got it up and running with the help of my mechanic. I have plowed the last 2 years with it and it had always started and performed great. Now, with that being said, it's by no means a daily driver. The body is shot rust wise, it has a slight wobble in the steering at 40-50mph, it has drum brakes all around (not power currently with booster being bad), and the gas mileage would probably brake you! LOL! The frame is rock solid, and the drivetrain is the same. I bought a 1977 F150 2wd from California that I was planning on using as a donor body and restoring this truck. The plans have changed as I just had surgery and I'm off work for a few months. I could use the money and the space this takes up. It would still be a great local plow truck or a mud truck the way it sits. I have driven it 60 miles one-way once to pick something up. That is the furthest I have driven it. If you live far away I would suggest you trailer it. Especially until you get to know the little quirks of driving a 40 year old truck. I still love the truck, and get plenty of compliments when I'm driving it. I nicknamed it "The Hulk" NEW PARTS: -Clutch, pressure plate, bearing -Flywheel -Starter -Intake gaskets -Horn Relay -New brake pads and 1 cylinder -Muffler and tailpipe -1 new brake line -Fuel pump -Fuel filter -Accelerator pump -Warn lock-out hubs (full turn) -Dash cluster bulbs -Tachometer -Triple gauges (oil & water never got hooked up) -Plow hydraulic line -Plow headlight WILL NEED: -Engine belts (dry rotted) -Brake booster (leaks vacuum, currently disconnected) -Plow pump rebuilt/replaced (works but getting a little weak at low RPM. PTO engine belt style) -Lift cylinder for plow has small seal leak (used it this way for 2 years) -Low/High beam switch. -Tires balanced (would probably take care of front end wobble) -1 more brake line replaced in the front. it has a small leak. I just keep the reservoir filled as I haven't gotten around to getting it fixed yet
