Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1968 Chevelle SS. The car still has the original 396 with the 375 horsepower option. The cam was changed over to an equal size hydraulic setup but I still have the original with the solid lifters and all parts if wanted. The car came with a 4 speed and Muncie m41 rock crusher transmission. I recently had the distributor changed from points to an electronic setup but still have the original parts. The picture of the motor shows after market valve covers but I still have the original chrome ones that came with the car. The interior of the car was redone around 10 years ago and was kept as I bought it with bucket seats and black carpet. The car came with a factory tachometer that moves up and down and is functional. There is currently a aftermarket stereo and amp in the car but I have the radio that was given to me by the guy I bought the car from. I believe it is the original radio. The interior is in nice shape but the knobs and such would need rechromed if you were to restore the car. I bought the car in 1986 with 56449 miles. The car now has 66000 miles. I have not driven the car much over the past 10 years as I have an injury that prevents me from working on it so I have relied on some outside help but it is too much to keep up. The car starts and runs well but I still have not got the correct timing on the new electronic setup I had put in. That is going to be up to the new buyer since as I stated I can not work on it any longer. The car has no known mechanical problems I know of other than the timing, I am not much of a mechanic so if it were to have any other issue I would be willing to negotiate off the selling price. The car has not been painted for around 15 years. The car is a head turner and I would get a lot of compliments but it is in need of new paint and some minor body work. The owner before me put rear quarters on the car but the were not full ones I was told. I was also told he did a good job and finished the inside of the quarters from the trunk interior. The car has not been wet for 17 years, I don't even wash it, I would keep it covered, dust it off and wax it occasionally. The tires and rims are not original, they are cragar sst rims. The tires are showing signs of age and are serviceable but will need replaced eventually. The picture showing the underside of the hood still shows the coil and distributor that was recently replaced as mentioned above. Please email with any questions or pics of any thing you would like to see better. On May-10-14 at 08:54:51 PDT, seller added the following information: The transmission is a Muncie m21 not an m41 as stated. Sorry for the mistype. The body seems The engine codes are 18B203910 and TO520EG. Answers to few more questions. The car has headers and mufflers with pipes that run to the rear axle. The car does not have power steering. The headliner is newer along with the carpet. The clock is the only thing not working but I never bothered to check connections or tried to fix it. The motor could be cleaned up and painted. The floor pans are good. I will keep posting answers as I get questions.
