Up for auction is a 67 Mustang coupe. 390 4bbl four-speed, Tach dash and a 9” rear end. The 390 four-speed combination is typically a more desirable and valuable than the automatic versions. This springtime yellow coupe was last registered in 1996 and it does run!!! The previous owner started the restoration but has stalled. We purchased this car was planning on restoring it myself but too many other projects going on. The previous owner had told me that he had replaced the clutch and the flywheel was resurfaced before putting the motor back in that's about as far as he got. The original carburetor had been taken apart and is included with the car but I put a modern Holley on the car to see if it runs. The motor starts right up and seems to run okay. This seems to be a very original car and would be well worth the time and money to restore. These big block four-speed cars are somewhat rare and truly a blast to drive. The overall condition of the car is fair for it age and I believe it's only had one paint job from original. The floor pans that are included and the left front torque box will be to be replaced. I also see an area in the trunk that will need rust repair please see pictures. The frame rails are good and all the other sheet-metal appears to be usable. All the window chrome and trim peaces are with the car After the restoration project is done typically these cars sell for a minimum of $20,000 and depending on the quality of the restoration I have seen them as high as $30,000 if you’re looking for project that will be well worth your time and money to restore I believe this would be a good one.
