Well I'm sure no expert on Volvo's, but I acquired this ES-1800 wagon from the second owner who has owned it for the last 37 years. This is what I call a "Barn Find" The previous owner had big plans for it, but he needed to move on to other priorities, so that is how I ended up with it. This car has sat idle and in storage for the last 3-4 years.The car was running and driving fine when it was last parked. It will require whatever sitting that long would dictate. (fresh fuel new battery fluids etc). It is 41 years old and being sold as-is.I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be dissapointed in any way. Although not perfect, the car is not rusty like most I've seen. (The floors, trunk, Engine comp. etc. are excellent) They only made about 8,000 ES-1800 wagons between 1972-1973. The 1973 is more desirable that the 1972. This Volvo has the factory air conditioning. I have been told that is was a very rare option. It has a posi-grip rear end and 4 wheel disc brakes, as well as Bosch fuel injection.The car also has a 4 speed transmission with the factory overdrive. My opening bid is $2500.00 with no reserve.I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. The car has lots of new and spare parts, as well as the owners and shop manuals. I put them all in the back trunk area. I have no doubts that someone could have this car up and going again in fairly short order. It could be used for a daily driver, or better yet be a great car to restore? Now all this having been said... I can't imagine finding a more original or more unmolested car like this for the price.It may be a bit of a project, but it is 100% complete, and mostly all original. Please see my photos... I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. I have a feeling that whoever ends up with it will be very pleased with it, but those are just my thoughts.
