This is a 2005 Honda CR250 aluminum frame with a 1997 CR500 motor. Everything is in excellent condition and ready to ride. The fabrication is professionally done and looks like the bike came this way from the factory. The welds look as good or better than the factory welds. The Texas Certificate of Title is clear and designated as street legal. Inspection was just done for April and tags are not due until October. This bike actually exceeds Texas requirements for street legal as it has fully functioning turn signals. All lights are LED except the high and low beam headlamp. The electrical system is a “total loss” system with a gel cell battery in the airbox. The run time for electrical is over an hour. It would be fairly easy to add a stator to the ignition for someone that doesn’t want to charge the battery after every ride. There is a connector for the charger so that nothing need be removed. A small 1 amp charger will be provided. All electrical wiring is very nicely done and well concealed. The wire harness has connectors in strategic locations so that it may be easily removed for service or if one would want to convert the bike to “track only”. I used a Garmin Edge 200 bicycle GPS for the speedometer (not included) and it worked flawlessly. The motor is bone stock with a factory Honda piston and a total of less than 11 hours on the top end. The radiators are new. The clutch feels great with no slippage, but I have not opened it up for inspection (haven’t needed to). I completely rebuilt the carb with factory parts from Sudco. Jetting is set for 900 feet with no loading or excess smoke. This bike rips! This bike is an absolute blast to ride. With the current gearing it cruises at 65 easily. It gives a street experience unlike any other and it is doubtful you will see another like it. Motorcycles are my lifestyle and I have been riding/racing/building bikes since the 1980’s.
