Vehicle Detail
You're bidding on an authentic 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Pace Car. I've owned this car for more than 10 years and other than driving it on the occasional nice day, I rarely take it out of storage. When I purchased the car, the previous owner was in the midst of an engine overhaul on the (numbers matching) 350 Olds that was in the car. He had contracted to have the engine replaced with a Olds 455, freshly built with quite a few performance goodies. Basically, he found himself in a financial pinch during the swap and offered the car to me which I happily obliged. As any Oldsmobile enthusiast knows, the block for an Olds 350 and 455 is the same, so there was NO modifications needed to drop the motor in. I had the transmission rebuilt at the same time with a performance shift kit. The car starts, idles, shifts, and runs better than new, and has tremendous horsepower. The car is in excellent condition with only a few items to make it perfect. First, there is a SMALL amount of rust bubbling from behind the paint on one wheel well. There is a tear in the vinyl seat (which is otherwise in very nice condition). The front bumper brackets need to be adjusted so the bumper fits tighter to the bodywork (a common problem I'm told). Otherwise, it's REALLY NICE for a 44 year old car. The Goodyear Eagle ST tires are 80-90%. Glass is good, top is excellent with no tears, and the paint is outstanding all around! The odometer shows 60561 miles. While this seems accurate, based on the year of the car, I am not guaranteeing the odometer is actual miles. This is a true Y74 Pace car with factory air conditioning which always blows cold but does need a recharge. The Ram Air induction tub is included, as is the original stereo (never used it so I' can't say how it functions). The car also has the factory Delco SuperLift Air Shocks, which hold pressure perfectly and make the ride firm and smooth! I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have. INCIDENTALLY, if you win the auction, you will also get the original NUMBERS MATCHING 350 motor, which has been disassembled since I bought it. If you want it, I will help to crate it up (in its current disassembled state) for you and help arrange shipping, which will need to be separate from the car. You will be responsible for crating and shipping charges however. Or come pick it up yourself and save the shipping cost. The car is in Oregon so you can work out the cost of shipping it to your location. I've put what I feel is a reasonable reserve on the car. I have it for sale locally as well so if it sells, I reserve the right to end the auction. A $1000 deposit will be due via PayPal within 24 hours of auction ending. Balance will be due in certified funds (wire, cashier's check, etc.) prior to shipping or title transfer.
