Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1972 Honda CB350 K4 Candy Gold Unrestored, Original Motorcycle with 12,360 miles on the speedo. I am the third owner of this bike and the previous owners maintained this bike very well. The work I have done to this fine machine, include taking the front forks apart and thoroughly cleaning them and installing new fork seals and fluid. The carburetors have been cleaned and rebuild kits installed and sychronized. The engine has been tuned up and new points and plugs installed. The oil has been changed and the centrifical filter was removed and cleaned. All new oil seals were replaced in the engine and a new gas cap seal was also installed. The fuel tank only had minor rust, but I flushed it out and cleaned it and lined it with the best quality sealer available. The gas petcock was rebuilt and new fuel lines and gas filters were added. New footpeg rubbers were installed as well as handlebar grips. A new rear chain was put on and adjusted properly. Both front and rear tires are new and have less than 5 miles on them. The original tires are available if you want them. The original owners manual and tool kit also come with the bike, only problem with the tool kit is that one wrench is of a different brand than Honda, other than that it is complete. The fenders have been cleaned of rust on the underside and rustoleum paint has been applied to prevent future rust. The front fender has a couple of small pits in the chrome that are hardly noticeable. The exaust pipes and mufflers are in excellent condition, the chrome shines well on the original mufflers with no rust or pits. The right side cover the paint is faded and not as shiny as the tank and left side cover. The left side cover had 2 small cracks on the louvers, but have been reinforced and epoxied for a permanent repair. The rear rim has a section, about 10 inches long where rust has discolored the rim, I steel wooled the rust off and it looks better, but for a concours bike you would probably want to replace the rim. About the only other problem is the electric starter, it is starting to make a little noise, should be an easy fix though, it still turns the engine over well to start it. The battery is about 8 months old and is fully charged. The seat has good support and looks like new except for a 1.5" seperation on the side in the seam. The control cables are original and I installed shrink tubing on the discolored portions of the cables, check out the pictures to see how this looks. Over all this is a great bike and would make a wonderful addition to anyone's collection or just go out and enjoy riding this fine motorcycle. It starts easily, accelerates briskly as it smoothly goes through the gears, what a ride!
