If you are looking for the real thing this is about as close as you can get and still drive and enjoy it. This is a Contemporary S/N CCX-3-3455 car which is real close to the original car. It has the round tube chassis, and the body was made from a mold of an original aluminum Cobra. It has a Jag front end with a 1966 Ford Police Intercepter motor # C6ME-A, a Toploader 4 speed with a Jag IRS rear with inboard disc. brakes. The car has the correct seats and the correct Wilton Wool carpet with The correct Shifter and steering wheel as well as Smith and S/W gauges. The engine compartment is all aluminum including the firewall, and the trunk is all aluminum. The car has a custom made all aluminum fuel tank that looks great. It has all the correct emblems, Chrome trim, racing bumper jacks, fuel filler, windshield frame and door latches. The motor is fresh and runs and sounds great. I have just finished going over the complete car and the object was to have the closest to the original as possible. The pulleys and brackets, engine and ford expansion tank are all painted black as that was the color in 1966. The manifold is a performer but does not have Edelbrock on it. They said it could be early eighties. The turkey pan is as original and the air cleaner is as original. The oil filter is remote as well as oil going through the cooler which is correct. The car has two sets of wheels. One set is 17" with low profile tires that are bolt on but look like knock off's as they have the nut covers. The wheels on the car in the pictures are new knock off's as well as new Goodyear Billboards. These take a couple of miles to warm up and are not radials, however they are the real deal and they ride and handle great. The car has a heater which I disconnected (I live in Fl.) and can be reconnected in about an hour. It also has new windshield wipers that are not on the car as well as a new set of duel fans for the front of the radiator, the car runs cool, a built in battery charger and a battery disconnect switch with jumper post in the trunk, as well as a tonneau cover.
