Vehicle Detail
Barn Find? Up for sale is a 1973 Corvette Stingray 4-speed coupe. I bought this car last summer from the owner who had it in a rented garage since 1989. Odometer reads 72,821 original miles. It was originally Orange Metallic in color, but was painted grey. The interior is very impressive with no tears in the seats, just wear in the arm rest portion of the door panel. However, you can buy those adhesive supports for them for $45. If you don't see a part in the pictures, I most likely have it boxed up. So it hadn't seen the outside world until I got it and put it under a cover for the winter while I worked on it. I dropped a 1968 327 that had been worked, and bought the following new parts with receipts for buyer...Edelbrock carb,PlugsAlternatorAluminum water pump Overflow tankRebuilt radiatorMuskegon brake calipers, pads, and linesCross-drilled & slotted rotorsAir cleanerFuel pumpVintage 1968 fuel filterHeadlightsThermostatHosesClutchGas tankRadio delete plateShifter boots and leather surroundBattery cables and properly rerouted as to factory specs Anything I put back on the car was either media blasted or bought new from Paragon. I still have the new gas tank in the box, restored shifter plate, brand new bumper that has been painted to match, and many extras. The only item I don't have is a new radio antenna wire. It has a 1971 Muncie wide-ratio 4-speed, with a 1969 336 ratio rear in it. This car needs some finishing but it is all there. It runs, but I haven't hooked up the shifter linkage or front of the driveshaft yet. I have 3 kids and have bills to pay. I am not giving it away but feel free to email with questions. On Apr-27-14 at 19:20:25 PDT, seller added the following information: After answering some emails about the car, please understand that you can not drive this car out of my residence. It would to be timed, the driveshaft bolted up to the transmission, and it still has the original gas tank mounted. The new tank would need to be installed. Anyone believing that this car can be driven from my house need to be realistic and know that it hasn't been driven since 1989, but it has been highly updated with all parts I listed. And it does not have air conditioning, nor power brakes or steering. All you would need to purchase is exhaust extensions from the header pipes to existing exhaust. This car is one of the most solid and rust-free example I have seen and I have had over 20 in my lifetime.
