I have a 1985 Mustang SVO that I have owned for almost 20 years now with intention of restoring one day. This car has lived the majority of its life in CA before moving to AZ. When my son turned 16 I thought it would be a great car for a father-son project so I hauled it from AZ to Silvers Springs, NV which is about an hour east of Reno. Well, guess what? He has absolutely no interest in this car. So needless to say, I hauled all the way up here for nothing. Before dolling the car up here I put a new set of Goodyear tires along with new in tank fuel pump and injectors. Before I parked this car, some 15 years ago, the engine had new bearings and rings installed. The head was completely rebuilt with a Motorsports A234 flat tappet cam. Also new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing along with a 3” Flowmaster and 3” hi flow cat. I also installed new turbo cartridge about 500 miles before rebuild. The stock processor was swapped with the better PE processor. The radiator fan is hooked to an external adjustable thermostat that I have set at 200 degrees. Anyway after sitting for some 15 years this car has developed a spark issue where the car has spark one moment and not the next, so sometimes the cars runs, sometimes the cars misses and sometimes the car just won’t start. I replaced pickup in the distributor hoping that would fix it but still has the same problem but even worse because now it’s out of time. As of now I do not have the time or the interest in restoring the car so it’s here for auction. Car will include few extra parts like a set of Koni struts and LX taillight lenses. Right now car has one stock SVO lens and one not stock lens on it held in place with tape. AC doesn’t work and heater blower fan doesn’t come on. I believe fuel sending unit is also no good. The interior I would consider fair to good because driver seat does have a tear you can see in pics. The body has paint coming off but is solid only surface rust no rot and windshield has small crack. PLEASE READ this car is not a driver. It will be sold as-is/where is and in need of a complete restoration. I would suggest a local buyer because it will be sold as NOT RUNNING.
