Vehicle Detail
This has been my summer daily driver since 1982, when I brought it to Ohio from Tucson, AZ. I have done mainly standard mechanical repairs, and nothing else. Much of the paint is original, and many parts are original. There is some floor rust from interior leaks, on the passenger side, and behind the driver seat has started to show some rust. There is one small hole in the trunk that could be spot welded I believe. The other rust is shown in the pictures. The driver side door is not original to the car, but was on it when I bought it in 1982(luckily, they thought to move the data plate!). I assume that it was from accident damage. There is also minor rear end damage that is shown in a picture, that was done in the mid 80's. The last time I started the car over the winter, I was showing no oil pressure. I had just been working on wiring behind the instrument cluster while installing pertronix ignition, so the gauge may be disconnected, or the oil pump may have failed. Either way, I haven't started the car since then(that was in February). This is the longest I've ever gone without running the engine, and I believe that I could start it right now if I knew that the oil pump was working. Obviously, the engine will need to be rebuilt eventually. I don't have the time to work on the car anymore, so I have decided it's time to let it go. It has been the most reliable and quality car I have ever owned or driven. Obviously, the car needs work in every area. But because I haven't done anything form of restoration, the new owner would be doing it all for the first time, and not have to redo any poorly done work. This has been a difficult decision as I've owned it for 32 years. But I need to just have one car, and focus on other things in my life. I am hoping to find a new owner who will lovingly restore this very good and reliable Mustang to it's potential. San Jose emberglow Coupe, 289 2v C4 automatic med. emberglow and parchment pony interior console Obviously, you will have to make arrangements to pick up the car in Ohio upon purchase. I would plan on trailer-ing the car, as I don't know the status of the engine repair needed.
