Up for auction is a nice 1966 Ford Mustang “C Code” Coupe. Engine: The engine is a 289 V8 . This car runs and drives great. The engine was rebuilt a little over 10,000 miles ago, does not knock, smoke or burn any oil. The cylinder heads were also rebuilt with hardened valve seats for unleaded gasoline. The original engine ID tag is bolted to the intake, and it still has the factory 2 barrel carburetor that has been updated with an electronic choke for easy starting and idling in cold weather. The distributor has also been updated with electronic ignition. The car is setup with dual exhaust, headers backed up by flow masters that sound great. As for cooling, a 4 row radiator and factory fan shroud keep the engine running cool in the Las Vegas heat. Drive train: The transmission is the factory green dot C4 automatic and is in good working condition, however, it does have a drip from the shifter seal when parked. It does not leak while driving. The rear universal joint was also recently replaced. Stock white wall tires are mounted on steel wheels and all hub caps are in good condition. The car is equipped with air shocks in the rear, so ride height can be adjusted and can accommodate larger tires. 4 wheel drum brakes have all new hardware, new wheel cylinders and new shoes. The car stops nice and straight with no pulling. Exterior: This car is ABSOLUTELY RUST FREE! Rock solid factory original floor pans, rockers and trunk. This car spent its life in the southern California desert before I brought it to Nevada when I purchased it. Painted approximately one year ago, the color is VIPER RED and is garage kept and still maintains its luster. This is a turnkey, daily driver type car that fires up any and all the time. This car is very dependable and ready to drive anywhere. Currently registered and insured this car is driven often and is not a trailer queen. There are a few very minor nicks and dings that can only be seen when up close. All the glass on the car is good and the door locks and handles are in good working condition. All chrome and badges are in place and in good condition. The front grill is a custom billet grill. Interior: All windows roll up and down as they should. The front and rear seats were recovered as well as new carpet and dash cap about a year ago, and is still in good condition. A full set of seat belts were also installed. The headliner was not replaced, and has a few tears, but I do have a brand new one still in the box in the trunk that I will send with the car. The factory radio is still mounted in the dash, turns on and lights up but is not connected to a speaker. The center console has a Kenwood AM/FM/CD unit that is connected to a pair of 6x9 speakers mount in the rear shelf. A new heater core was put in at the same time the interior replaced, and has new glove box, turn signal switch and 2 speed wiper switch. Every light works and all factory gauges work correctly. The speedometer, horn, and wipers, and electric windshield washer pump all work correctly.
