I picked this up here locally in Greenville,SC, wasn't sure how nice it was, the paint is badly oxidized and the dent in the hood pretty much killed using it as it is. The closer I looked I realized it's a great car for a VW enthusiast and probably not a good fit for a cheap spring cruise. This one could be really nice, has been owned by the same family since Sept. 1989, have paperwork etc. It runs great, no dash lights on but they all work, I put a new battery and fresh fuel in it and it started right up, no mods under the hood or interior, convertible boot is perfect, carpet appears to never have been wet. Convertible top is very nice, fits well, works well...I'll send any details you may need..clutch is great, engages smooth and no slip, no oil leaks,ever. everything under hood is correct, no missing parts,a/c compressor engages when turned on, this car was driven, just not much, continuously, all light work, horn blows, wipers wipe, rear hatch stays open, spare tire is there, so is jack, front valance panel has no dents at all under front bumper, grill has slight crack, hood has nice ding at front lip, opens and closes as it should though, I have video of me driving it after picking it up last Thursday. Interior is nicer than it looks in pics, very well preserved, no damage at all, emergency brakes works smooth.has evenly worn matching set of BF Goodrich tires, 60-70% tread remaining, brakes are high and stop evenly and smooth.original paint, no repairs that i see,
