Vehicle Detail
This 66 Mustang Fastback does run, drive and stop. It had been in storage for several years will need to be thoroughly checked out. The motor is at 351 Windsor two barrel, you will need to have the carburetor cleaned or rebuild and of course a tune up. I have drained the old gas out of the tank and replaced the gas, the transmission shifts through all gears without any problems. I drove this car for just a mile or so. It can be driven to load. Original red car with standard black interior. Still has the original top loader 4 speed and shifter that works great. This was an older restoration and the car does look presentable and can be used just the way it is after it’s turned up and check out. This is a car from Wisconsin and does have the typical rust issues. I can see where floor panels were repaired and repairs to the rear frame rails were made. Trunk floors look ok. The car has new quarter panels that were done nicely. Also a fiberglass hood with scoop and Shelby style air dam front. This car would be a good candidate for a one-piece floor during its next restoration and frame rail repairs. Doors still open and close nicely. The original 1966 289 was pulled out and the intention was to have it rebuilt but that never happened and the owner put this 351 two barrel Windsor in. The exhaust system on this car will needs to be replaced it currently has headers with glasspacks with exhaust out just before the back tires. There are a lot of new parts in this car, bumpers, lights, front seat covers along with Shelby style brake scoops. The headliner will need to be replaced it has two small holes but is presentable. It’s a nice looking car that would be a nice project and well wroth restoring. A code car non GT car, I do have a 1966 289 motor if the winner bidders is interested let me know we can work something out. Clear title. Shipping is the buyer responsibility but we help in any way possible. Car in located in Green Bay Wisconsin and foreign bidders are welcome. Call with questions before you bid if you have questions.
