Vehicle Detail

A 2006 Corvette convertible, 6 speed manual shift, with the Z51 package. This is a BEAUTIFUL car and the hardest decision I've ever made to sell a car. I have owned just about every sports car in the market over the past 45 years and this vehicle, by far, is the best driving car I've ever had. It is so smooth on the open road that I am sometimes amazed I am driving a high performance, bad ass vehicle. I live in an area where every road maximum speed limit is 45mph or less and, trust me, you do not drive a red Corvette much faster if you value your driver's license. I doubt I've had it over 50 more than four times. Drove it home on an interstate and since the purchase it has never been on another interstate or open highway. I use it from my house, to the golf course, to the local shopping mall and my favorite watering hole. The Vette only has 19,933 miles on it but please expect about another 2 - 300 miles or so at time of picking it up. I have to get to the golf course and shopping during the bidding process. I did a couple upgrades. I replaced the original tires with the best tires I could find ($1300 run flats too). I upgraded the exhaust to a $1400 Corsa system and I am here to tell you this car sounds unbelievable. There is none of that terrible drone at cruise you normally hear with this type of exhaust, but when you pull out of the driveway I am saying that it is a wonderful sound the car makes. The way a Corvette should sound. Their factory system sucks but the Corsa is great. I also replaced the gas cap because the seal had gone bad. I am selling because I am old, whether I want to admit it or not and my hip and knee are gone. Replacement for both coming up shortly as I fight through the medical insurance system. I am having trouble getting in and out of the vehicle and shortly won't be able to do so as I recover from hip replacement and knee surgery. I honestly do not want to sell my baby, but it is time. You'll note this is the Z51 package, which gives you a bunch of upgrades and they are listed below. The convertible top is electric and works perfectly. There are no holes, etc, anywhere in the seat upholstery and there are no scratches or scrapes on the dashboard. The entire interior is absolutely beautiful. There is power everything in the interior. It has keyless entry, heads up display, Bose speaker system that I'd like to put in my house, navigation system, voice command capability, and on and on and on. You can even program your name into the dash display, which monitors just about everything on the vehicle. There are no current warnings on the display and all gauges when engine runs are at optimum settings. Look below at the impressive list of standard and optional equipment on this gorgeous vehicle. It is a head turner. Can't tell you how many times I sat at a stop light and have someone say something to me, or gesture, to indicate how beautiful the care truly is. Lot of room in the trunk for a sports car, as you can see in the photos, and a lot of room in the seating area. I am well over 6 feet tall and fit in nicely. Just can't get in and out of it anymore with this hip and knee. Yeah, I know, I'm old. The Vette is always in my RV garage out of the elements and I am the only daily driver. I have serviced it regularly at 3000 miles, well in advance of the automatic oil change notification period of the vehicle. The title is free and clear without liens. The reserve is below Kelly Blue Book for a car in excellent condition with low mileage http://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/corvette/2006-chevrolet-corvette/convertible-2d/?vehicleid=180&intent=trade-in-sell&options=5936%7ctrue%7c1743535%7ctrue%7c5985%7ctrue%7c533804%7ctrue%7c5985%7ctrue%7c6012%7ctrue%7c5999%7ctrue%7c1743540%7ctrue&mileage=19796&category=convertible&pricetype=private-party&condition=excellent&persistedcondition=excellent It is also below NADA http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2006/Chevrolet/Corvette-V8-6-Spd-AT/Convertible-2D-AT-6-Spd/Values I am selling it in AS IS condition and your winning bid fully means you accept the vehicle in the AS IS condition as sell, but it is in fantastic condition for an 8 year old car. Frankly, I am not much of a mechanic, but know of no mechanical problems with the car and am so confident in the condition I will hold $500 of your non-refundable winning bid in escrow and if you find something needing repair, it must be done an authorized Chevrolet dealer during the first 14 days of ownership. Then, send me the a copy dealers service invoice and I will reimburse up to $500 for repairs. However, I am also confident I'll get to keep my $500 from your nonrefundable winning bid because this is a fantastic vehicle. I require a non-refundable deposit of $500 within 72 hours of sale and balance of the nonrefundable winning bid must be paid within 7 days in cash. No cashiers checks, personal checks, etc. Cash only transaction. If you want it shipped, please make your own arrangements. If you want to fly in and drive it home, Tampa is the closet major airport and I will pick you up. Do not bid unless you are serious in a purchase and if you attempt a scam be assured I will have you prosecuted. Anyway, I forgot to add that I have the original exhaust system (over $500 value) in the attic and it goes with the vehicle. If it will not fit inside, you'll have to ship it at your cost. It is like new. Also, the NADA link is wrong for some reason. When copying the link over it goes to a complete different vehicle setup. The NADA clean retail value with the options and Z51 package is $37, 425 versus the Kelly Blue Book Value which is $35,147. My reserve is below both figures and you are getting close. I checked the entire vehicle this morning and could not find a scratch on it. Beautiful car.
