Vehicle Detail
I've had this car for about a year. I am starting a business, and have to let it go. It is a restored car that was owned by another local collector, prior to me. He owned Ted's Garage, in Birmingham, and this was one from his personal collection. I bought it with intent to drive it routinely, because it really runs and handles like a newer car. It just drives effortlessly. It is an attention grabber, and the paint is slick. The car's undercarriage, interior, under the hood, and everything else is very nice. Like I said, you could do a little work on the exterior, but it'd be a waste of money. It's too pretty as is, and has many, many, years of life left on the restoration, as long as you continue to maintain it as well as we have. THIS CAR RUNS very nicely. It starts quickly, idles nicely, handles well, and stops on a dime. I have driven this car around the block and across town a hand full of times, and I start and drive it a little to keep it lubricated. However, because of my work on my new business, I have not had time to drive it much. Thus, I need to let someone else enjoy it. It is mechanic maintained. I own a vintage shop and I have 2 mechanics that help me keep my cars in order. Everyone's going to want to know what the reserve is, but I'm not inclined to disclose. I know how to buy cars at a fair price. I also know how to sell cars at a fair price that gives the buyer some upside. I don't think you will lose money on this car, as long as you maintain it. I will sell this car at a fair price. If you are a real car collector, you know where I'm coming from. I have had many old Mustangs and they always re-sell easily. With that said, this one drives and handles better than any other old Mustang I've owned, and I attribute it to the Shelby set-up. I've never owned a clone before, but I will admit: it's actually a nice upgrade. I just had to get over my infatuation with numbers matching cars. Tire kickers need not waste my time, and on the flip side, if you want to come to Birmingham to drive it or send someone to inspect it, please feel free. I don't have time to baby my collection of cars. I have many muscle cars, and I am thinning my herd. I also have a 71 T/A and a 69 Z28 in separate auctions. I also have a 72 C10 Fleetside and a 69 VW BUS. I really love this car and have taken great care of it, but business comes first. In case you did not know, Woodside Credit will loan money to you, if you have decent credit, and their rates are good too. Just a heads up: You don't have to borrow the kids college money to own this car. Just cut down on the beer and chips a little and you'll be able to make your monthly payment. I'm kidding, but seriously, this car is a good investment! On Apr-17-14 at 12:42:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Text me at 205.777.8689 for a video of it running.
