Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2008 Honda CBR1000RR. I bought this bike new in August 2008. I'm selling this as I have a new 2014 Honda CBR1000RR SP on order and it's due to be delivered in late April. Bike is almost 100% stock. Only non-stock items include...Woodcraft Frame Sliders.15 tooth front sprocket. Stock 16 tooth sprocket is also included, but as the 15 tooth has been on the bike since about 100 miles, I would not recommend using the 16 tooth one until you replace the chain and rear sprocket when necessary.Tank protector to keep your zippers from scratching the tank.Stomp tank grip pad to help you grip the tank while riding. What is NOT included is the rear stand and spools that are pictured. Recent Services performed:New Front breaks were installed about 1,000 miles agoFront brake fluid changed last week.Rear brake fluid changed last summer.Oil changed ~1,500 miles ago.A new battery was installed last week. This replaced the 6 year stock battery. I'm also including a Honda service manual. I bought the 4 year extended Honda warranty and never once used it. The only repairs ever needed for this bike was a clutch replacement that was done by Honda on a recall when the bike was less than a year old. This bike runs strong. In 2009 I had it put on a dyno at Roar On The Shore here in Erie, and it pulled 156 HP. Seems kind of high for a stock '08 CBR1000RR, so I'm not 100% how accurate their dyno was, my Goldwing pulled a bit lower than what I thought it would. The bike has been 100% reliable and I would not have an issue taking a long trip on it. Bike has never been wrecked or went down. I broke the bike in using normal GN4 Honda oil. Then @ 3000 miles I switched to Pro Honda HP4 Synthetic and have ran that since. I have only used Honda filters. I have owned 20+ motorcycles and do most all my own maintenance so I know it's done correctly. I have owned several other Hondas ('88 Hurricane CBR600F, '93 CBR900RR, '95 CBR900RR, '00 CBR929RR, '04 CBR1000RR, 2 VFRs, 2 Goldwing 1800's) Bike is located in Erie, PA. I'd be willing to deliver the bike up to a distance of 250 miles for 50ยข/mile (each way). The bike is also for sale locally and if the reserve is not met, I reserve the right to end the auction if the bike sells locally.
