brewcity Store Wow! Up for auction is an awesome 1955 Chevy Nomad. Local estate find that's being offered in the same condition as we found it. Owner was 86 years old and has owned the car for the past 30 years. Car was purchased with the intent of restoring but due to health issue he was unable to complete it. Here's what I know about it - Car has a 265CI engine with a 2 speed automatic transmission. Engine is currently not running but he advised me that he personally drove and parked the car in the garage we found it in apprx. 5-6 years ago, so I think it'll probably run with some effort. His plan was a frame off restoration, so the frame has already been dipped and is ready to go, looks solid with no holes that I could see. Now the body, that's another story. You can see from the pics there's quite a bit of rust in all the common areas for these types of cars, the good news is.... included in the sale of the car are the following replacement panels: Quarters both right & left (Heavy metal not modern day repos), rocker panels, & the floor patch panels. Doors are solid and still have the glass. Tailgate, trunk and fenders are all in very good condition. We have several boxes of parts with the the chrome & trim, way too much stuff to list. We also have the nuts & bolts from when the car was taken apart. All the glass we have is shown in the photos. We have a clear title in hand.
