Due to a knee replacement, I’ve placed my exceptional Canyon Red 2000 BMW 1200LT up for sale. BMW K1200 LT’s are recognized as having unsurpassed engine life. Many LT’s are out there with greater then 200K miles on them. This bike is not for riders less than 6 feet tall. Bike is absolutely gorgeous and most people think it is new. I bought it with 3K miles on it and switched it to full synthetic oil at 9K miles. Last fall it was completely dealer serviced with new tires and battery ($1500). Currently the bike has 52K miles on it and has zero oil consumption or leaks. It is the custom model which comes with a 6 disc CD changer and heated seats. Everything works such as the radio, reverse, cruise control and electric windshield. I upgraded the seat to a heated Corbin ($1350) about 6 yrs ago. The passenger seat has a small imperfection (see closeup picture) most likely because of the antique style of stitching. At 27K miles, I replaced the stock shock with a custom configured Technoflex ($1600) which can be rebuilt for $200. At 25K miles they are far from needing a rebuild. I’ve ridden this bike on several 700 mile days and consistently get 42 MPG at 80 MPH. It returned 58 MPG for the whole length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can possibly find a newer LT or one with fewer miles but you won’t find one that looks and drives as well. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
