Vehicle Detail

My 99 328i is up for sale due to a blown head gasket. The vehicle's coolant expansion tank cracked mid drive on a busy highway and the car overheated which caused the blown head gasket. Compression test was done by mechanic confirming this. Here is everything that was done to the car, mainly in the last two years. Exterior: Style 44 rims w/ Continental DWS tires Smoked corners / sidemarkers Matte black kidney grills Lip trunk spoiler Black and white roundels Maintenance (many of these were done between 55 - 70k miles): Oem rear shocks and springs replaced Oem rear strut mounts replaced Meyle front control arms, bushings, and strut mounts Koni orange struts Lemfoerder tie rods Akenobo brake pads and meyle rotors Oem trailing arm bushings replaced Full throttle body replaced Have receipts for all work done, some at BimmerClinic NJ and some at surrounding auto shops. Exterior and interior wise the car is great. Silver exterior with gray leather interior. Automatic transmission. There is normal wear and tear on the exterior, with small dings and scratches from 15 years of driving. There's a dent in the driver's side fender but we have the replacement fender already painted which will be included in the sale as well. The car has a 100% clean title, no accidents. Purchased with about 52k and now has almost 75k. When we brought the car to Bimmerclinic NJ in 2011, they reported the car's temperature gauge to be faulty (it would stay stuck all the way to the right from time to time - have document showing this). Bimmerclinic suggested replacing the cluster. BMW quoted 8-9 hundred for a new cluster alone without labor/programming. Instead we decided to send the current cluster out to be fixed. Sent out, came back, worked for a day and stopped working. Next step we purchased a used cluster for the car on ebay. Had the cluster programmed to the car - all functions were working and mileage was and still is 100% correct, but the person who programmed it could not get the tamper dot to disappear. Tamper dot has been on ever since. Carfax/autocheck and various receipts show the car's mileage which is exact to the mileage on the car at various intervals. As of now the car still starts up and runs (rough). It can still be driven but not for long... you run the risk of the car overheating and possibly worse after the engine warms up. Perfect car to replace the motor or part out and make yourself a good amount of money. ***Once again, vehicle has a blown head gasket and buyer understands the car is not in perfect running condition as a result. Vehicle is sold AS-IS*** If you're interested, have any questions, or would like more pictures feel free to message me. Please note the vehicle must be picked up from this location and will not be shipped. Good luck! On Mar-27-14 at 22:47:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Also to note! When I replaced the struts I was recommended to replace the strut mounts as well. We replaced the old strut mounts with Meyle HD strut mounts. However these mounts are very squeaky especially in cold weather. This does not affect the performance of the parts by any means but is definitely noticeable especially in cold weather.
