Vehicle Detail

My wife decided I have too many car projects so I am selling the car that I spent the last several years having gone through. When I bought the car it had been owned for many years by a Oregon University Professor. I do not believe this car has ever been in a state that used salt, the metal was too clean. The engine was bad so I had a new 327ci SBC built. I chose a 350 block (4 bolt main caps) with a steel forged 327 crank, flat top 9:1 pistons (it runs well on regular fuel) and we used a new cam with the popular '69 Corvette 350/350hp grind, slight lope and huge mid-range pulling power. It has an Edelbrock Performer manifold and a correctly jetted Edlebrock 625cfm electric choke carb (rebuilt). I believe a car this light does not benefit from a torque motor like a 350ci. The 327 SBC motor spins up faster and gets better mileage too. The heads 72cc and casting number 487 for better flow, new seats, guides and 3 angle valve job. Double roller timing chain, brass freeze plugs, new rockers and push rods, re-conditioned rods, Melling oil pump, crank turned 20/20, The motor was built by Mike Rice who owns Performance Associates in Post Falls, ID. The transmission is a TH350 automatic that has been gone through and a B & M shift kit, new seals installed. It shifts firm and on time. The rear end is a IRS unit from a Corvette and has a posi LSD unit. It has dual 2" exhaust with a single stainless steel Dynomax muffler, some growl but not too loud when cruising. The body has these features: headlight buckets have been Frenched, custom rear bumper with rear quarter panels bumper indents removed, shaved rear lid lock, shaved side markers, rain drip rails removed. There were small areas of rust that were correctly cut out and replaced with metal. The gas tank was removed and boiled out by a radiator shop (gauge is not not working). New U-joints for the rear differential half shafts and drive shaft, new distributor, new coil, new ignition switch, new water pump, new battery, new anti-sway bar end bushings, New B & M Quick Shift ratcheting shifter.
