The car is UNBELIEVEABLY clean and 100% original. The miles are at 101k and those are original. The paint has a very nice patina to it and the interior is very, very well kept. There's not a crack or tear in either the seats or the dashboard. It fires right up and drives excellent. Just like any car this old, the cold start takes an extra crank or two but once she's up and running, it idles and drives great. We have the original pink slip from 1978 when it was purchased new. The Bad: The left blinker stays solid when turned on, indicating that one of the bulbs is out. The windshield has a crack in it but my grandpa has been driving it like that since the 90's. Although it doesn't drip any oil, after a long drive you can smell oil burning from years of minor seepage through the seals and gaskets. The AC never got converted into the newer system and has not blown cold for about 10 years. The Good: There is no rust on the car. The vinyl top is in stunningly good condition. All of the aluminum trim around the car is in PRISTINE condition. Usually you see cars this old and the trim is all dented up and cracked. Not the case here. All the exterior panels have original paint and have never been replaced or had any kind of body work. All of the electrical works great, including the headlights, power windows, power doorlocks, power steering, etc. The paint and body are 100% original. It's never been wrecked or even touched up. There's literally NOT A DENT OR SIGNIFICANT SCRATCH ANYWHERE ON THE CAR. It's been regularly maintained and serviced over the years by a local mechanic here in the city of Orange. The car is being sold with a current CA smog certificate and the original "pink slip" from 1978 when purchased new. This is a NO RESERVE auction, so it will be sold to the highest bidder.
