Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1965 Chevy Chevelle Malibu SS This is a true SS, it is a factory 327, 4 speed car and is unmolested. It does have a few upgrades which includes a brand new Flowmaster exhaust, a brand new 4 core radiator, a digital 2 knob radio and a brand new GM Goodwrench 350 engine (the number's matching 327 is included with purchase but needs a crankshaft). Everything else in the car is pretty much stock. The car has never been fully restored, but it has been updated with new stock parts. The body is very solid and it does not have any rust issues. The paint is in daily driver condition it does have little rock chip here and there but nothing serious. It is still the factory dark blue but has been repainted. There is no bondo on the car (I went over almost every inch with a magnet when I bought it). The drivers door on the bottom inside has some surface rust but nothing bad at all. I did buy a replacement door and hinges which I will send along with the car. Floors and trunk are original and super solid. The front ends has been completely rebuilt, as well as the entire braking system. This car goes down the road straight and stops perfectly. It has manual brakes and it is a non power steering car, but you can't tell when driving it. It has a brand new 17X8 inch American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels and brand new tires as well. I do have the numbers matching 327 in my possession. It is included in the sell and I will gladly have it shipped once car is sold. The engine was in perfect running condition when I got the car. A friend and I were out cruising it around and we noticed a knocking sound so we took it home and pulled the engine and noticed that the crank had broken near the number 8 piston, so all it needs is a new crank. Instead of having the 327 built I bought a new GM crate motor and installed it as soon as it arrived. The interior has been redone by previous owner, the original color is light blue, and as you can see in the pictures, it is now black. This is a fun car to drive and it turned head everywhere I go. The paint is decent but in no way show quality. I bought the car with plans to restore it but plans have changed. I could easily restore this car and ask crazy amounts of money but i have had fun owning it and it's time to move on. This is in no way a rust bucket nor is it a bondo bucket the body is in great condition for a unrestored car. Overall this is a solid classic car that is very collectable and would be great in anyone's collection. These 65 Malibu SS are very hard to come by in this condition in a reasonable price range so bid with confidence and feel free to ask me any question and I encourage any local bidders to come see it in person This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. Please if you are not a serious buyer please don't run the price up I want this to be a fair auction. I don't really have a price in my head but I do know what the car is worth and I know what I have in it. I have had an insurance appraisal ($34,500) and I have also had an restoration expert appraisal ($25,000) in as is condition. Like I mentioned I'm putting it up for auction cause I don't have a buy it now price so please don't ask I would much rather she what it goes for. Thanks and good luckOn Mar-16-14 at 09:50:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I just realized I left a little info out, all the lights, horn and wipers do function properly as well as the parking brake. The 4 speed transmission shifts perfectly and the clutch is fairly new. All gauges are functioning perfectly. I have only put about 600 miles on it since installing the new motor and I did properly break in the motor and changed the oil afterwards. The cars has absolutely no fluid leaks at all. On Mar-17-14 at 20:20:28 PDT, seller added the following information:The engine code is F09I8EB, which makes it a 300 hp 327 and the other number stamped on the block is G106043 which matches the last numbers of the vin. I have pics of these numbers on the engine and I can send them via email if anyone is interested
