I am selling this very rare and cool Volvo because it does not get driven enough, we have too many cars. I bought this several years ago from the original owner, a Volvo Dealer. It is a southern car , Va and Fl. All maintenance was done as required through out its life. Then in 2009 the owners did many mechanical upgrades, all documented with receipts. Including- all new suspension and bushings, springs struts,shocks(bilstein sport) , sway bars, tie rods, ball joints control arms etc - all performance parts purchased from IPD ( a top volvo performance shop), a new steering rack, new calipers, new injectors, all new free flow exhaust, MSD ignition, boost guage new fuel tank, new fuel pumps, new fuel lines, new brake lines. I replaced the clutch, have done full tune ups several times including cap rotor plugs etc, new brake pads, always has had mobil 1 oil, tranny was flushed and has synthetic fluid, Electric Overdrive works perfectly. Has good tires, Volvo BBS style wheels, European low profile Bumpers, Front air dam, Has a very very rare rear spoiler( not mounted) A very expensive stereo was installed by previous owner, The interior is in excellent condition, It is a solid reliable driver. I would drive it anywhere, currently a friend is using it while his 2014 Audi is broken down and at dealer. Car is quick and fun to drive, very spacious,and your spouse will not complain about this car. The body is all original, it has sun faded grey paint. Rust - very minor rust as shown in photos, behind wheel arches is worst and is still mild. The under carriage is 100% rust free.On Mar-15-14 at 10:39:37 PDT, seller added the following information: the worst of the rust is behind the wheel arches, to fix this correctly I would imagine welding a patch panel, the only other rust areas can be addressed with a good wire wheeling and sanding. the surface rust is primarily along body seams. there is no rust around the windows,there is no rust on the floors or undercarriage. the clear coat has peeled and as noted in pictures the paint has as well, and on the roof the bare metal is exposed,. thie car is 30 years old and has 160+k and has been used its whole life it is not perfect, but is very nice. it does have an inner cooler, everything works.
