I bought this car as a parts car (needed the motor) for another project I had going but I had a recent back surgery and can't do the work anymore. Plus, the turns out to be way nicer than I thought so I can't bear to part it out. THE TRANS WON"T GO IN REVERSE. I've tried it a few times and it feels like it engages and goes but usually it won't go. 117,999 miles5spd auto transmission (not a manual transmission)1.9TDI motor that runs great MECHANICALS:-NEEDS TRANSMISSION WORK-I can see the serpentine belt should be changed soon.-I can see the front tires need to be changed soon.-The power steering is not working, it could be low on fluid, a leaky hose, or a pump or something else, I haven't checked.-It's likely due for a Tbelt too since it is at 117k miles. INTERIOR:The interior is pretty nice, it needs a good vacuuming and wipe down. If I didn't have my back problems, I'd clean it up but can't.I'd get new floormats and one door card needs some glue. The glove box door is in perfect working order.The seats will clean up nice and dont' have excessive wear or any tears or seams showing.I believe everything is in working order. EXTERIOR:Driver side fender has big dent (there is a white fender in the trunk and it comes with the car)Passenger side fender has a nice sized rust in it. I believe VW has a warranty is repairing those, but research yourself.The paint is nice and shiny in all areas minus the fenders.Antenna looks good.It has a couple dings/scratches that are hardly noticeable on any 10 yr old carThe rest of the paint is pretty shiny and I didn't notice any other issues. The car needs to be gone asap, I'm willing to show it to anyone willing to come see it almost anytime. I had a few other projects going on and with my injury I can't do the work and my space is limited. The wife is upset she has to park the minivan in the street... As with all used car sales (and more so with broken cars) this car is sold as-is and where is. I make no guarantees to anything. Buyers encourages to inspect in person. That means it needs new pads. Also, I believe I remember seeing a coolant light on but I may be mistaken (I've been on a lot of pain killers for my surgery and I have more than one TDI) because I didn't see it the second time If anyone would like to delete their bid based on this, please let me know and I can make that happen.
