Listed for auction is a 1972 Honda CB500 project bike. The following items have been completed: Gas tank has been cleaned and sealed, fresh oil and filter, new points and condensers, new petcock and fuel lines, new air filter, carbs have been cleaned but No kits installed, new front and rear Dunlop 404 tires,new front brake caliper, pads, lines, and a new battery installed. The motor has good compression and runs but will not idle correctly. I'm thinking the carbs need synchronized. The bike will shift through the gears but I felt a clunking noise when I down shifted and believe the rear swing arm bushings are sloppy and will need replaced. Everything works on the bike except the left rear turn signal sometimes doesn't light up and the oil and neutral indicators don't light either. I'm selling this bike because of other projects but feel that a little more TLC will have it on the road in no time. The Honda CB500 is an excellent classic and I would love to see this one go to a collector who has the means to take this bike to the next level. I have described this Honda to the best of my knowledge and have a clear Tenn. title in hand. This motorcycle is being sold AS IS with No warranty or guarantees.
