According to the FORD Customer Assistance Center report (please see the pics) the VIN # decodes as follows : 9 1969 Model Year F Manufactured at Dearborn assembly plant 02 2 Door Fastback Mustang M 351 CID 8- Cylinder 4V xxxxx Consecutive Unit Number The vehicle was produced on 06/03/1969, with the following options: ======== Acapulco Blue exterior paint ======== Mach 1 Knitted vinyl hi back bucket interior trim - Black in color ======== Four speed manual wide ratio transmission ======== Non-locking 3.25 rear axle ======== E70x14 belted wide oval with white side walls tires ======== Power steering ======== AM radio ======== Tachometer Up for sale is a well optioned 1969 Mustang Mach 1, it has an M code 351W 4V engine , the car was completed around 1998 and the car was garaged for the past 15+ years , I drove the car to a couple of car show and some rides around town I will estimated the car to have around 6500miles since overhauled, , the car had all the upholstery done including headliner , seats , soft trim , molded carpet + underlay and insulation ,weatherstripping , the engine was overhauled using brand new parst including Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb, MSD ignition , MSD distributor , headers , the original 4 speed Toploader transmission was removed and put in place a C4 ( the original 4speed transmission is included in this sale,( please refer to pics to see all items included with car ) the original 4speed clutch pedal still in place as it was never removed , the paint has some dings and scratches here and there from been in the garage for so long , some of the suspension parts that were also put new when the car was completed are now dried out and eventually will need to replace, the tires also dried out and 2 rollers where put in front ,, in November 2013 decided to sell the car due to retirement and relocation , to make the car run again I have to install a new gas tank , starter, battery, carburator rebuilt to mention some , the car was running a Pete Jackson timing gear drive and were replaced at the time the gas tank was installed and now there is a "click " noise cumming out from the engine consistent to valve or push rod problem , also the carburetor is running rich and needs adjustment., The car is solid no rust visible anywhere and remember that the car was painted around 1998, also the power steering was removed from car in November 2013 and converted to Manual steering ( all the original power steering components are include with car, again please refer to pics) , Radio was never connected, it was purchase from junkyard many years ago . there is the common torch holes made( in both shock towers) to allow greasing of the upper control arms that we forgot to patch weld when the engine was out of the car , Vehicle is sold AS IS where is , it is available for inspection by appointment only , Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time.
