1987 Chevrolet Silverado –Short-bed Actual miles 29,800: RARE 2- Owner truck-305 Fuel Injection Little history to start off: This truck has ONLY 29,800 ACTUAL miles; it has been here in Knoxville, Tn. It’s whole life. Bought New at Reeder Chevrolet (Knoxville) in late 1986, then when it just had 14,000 miles in the year 2000, it was bought by a guy in Knoxville (who is still the current owner), and he has also kept it very clean an original. Now I will describe each area(s), so you can find description easy. I am advertising this truck for a buddy of mine, because he just doesn’t drive it that much. Owned it for 14 years.(Really he has too many cars and trying to get reduced) It has 100% original paint. Body: It still has the original paint, as you can see, the body is as straight as it gets, never any paint work, and due to that, the guy didn’t even want to buff it due to it’s not ever had anything done to it. My opinion, if you buff this truck it would turn out very slick, but since it’s all original and nothing has been done to it, he wanted to leave as is (which is pretty smart, most people like the original with nothing done) All the chrome, grill, molding, tail lights, glass, headlights, tail-lights, etc... Is original and looks great, like I said, this truck has been in either a garage or short time under carport. Doors, hood, tailgate, open and shut very smooth. Inside the bed, looks like new, I don’t think he even put a bag of trash in it, well maybe on a blanket. Like I say, if you was to buff/wax this truck it would look great. There are a few imperfection on paint, I will show in the pic’s, which are on top of tailgate, and top on roof edge, by no means it’s NO rust, it is where clear coat peeled, but you could paint the small areas, but he didn’t want to do ANY paint work cause of the low miles an original. Rust free truck, always has been here in Knoxville Tn. Area. INTERIOR: All original except the C.D. player, he had it professionally installed and DOES have the original one to go back with, if you chose. The dash is perfect, and seat looks great, carpet is original also, but is a little faded around edges due to its age, BUT, nothing is dry rotted or discolored like most door panels are and dash, interior is very nice, along with under dash, dash cluster, all gauges work and looks great. It has tilt wheel, cruise, steering, power windows and looks and all works. Dome light and under dash light all work. A/c works and cold, heat like it should. Dual tanks (factory) One of the tanks doesn’t work, but have a brand new GM pump that will go with truck to fix that, just haven’t had time to replace. DRIVETRAIN: 305 Fuel injection, with an automatic trans., runs and shifts great; of course, it has 29,800 miles. Only thing recently replaced under the hood was a new Battery back in January 2014. The original tires were replaced just due to their age with a new set, also back in January 204, with a size of 255/70/15. And a new muffler at this same time, that is the only 3 things not original. Tires, battery, muffler. Remember, I am selling this for a buddy of mine, he doesn’t do the eBay much, and when he buys something he keeps it, but this truck is so original he doesn’t want to start modifying it, he has owned this truck over 14 years, so now he is going to sell. NOTE: I told him, if I had it, I would put a set of after-market wheels on it, tint windows, and buff it, and have a very slick truck, with hardly any miles. But that’s just me.
