VIN 136370Rxxxxxx Cowl tag info: ST 70-13637 BT06570 BDY TR 755 75 75 PNT 02A 361 Observations as follows: -Correct body code and build location for an SS car-Build date of first week of February, 1970 (correct for an LS-6 SS car) -Original paint still showing (Cranberry Red w/black SS stripes, correct for SS) -Cowl Induction hood with hood pins (Correct for SS)-Blacked out front grill with SS badge (SS only) -Fenders with SS 454 badges (SS only) -Steering shaft has bolt-on cast flange at rag joint w/12-point head fasteners (BB only, SS) -Large radiator, and core support opening matches, with correct BB top plate (BB only, SS) -Power front disc brakes (Correct for SS) -Large front sway bar (F41 package, correct for BB/SS)-12 bolt positraction rear end (Correct for SS) -boxed lower control arms (SS only) -Rear sway bar missing in rear, but I can clearly see where it was attached previously (F41 package only, correct for BB/SS) -Rear bumper has rubber SS trim (SS only) -Black vinyl bench seat interior (matches cowl tag, correct for SS) -Column-shifted Turbo 400 transmission (matches cowl tag, correct for SS) -Kick-down switch activated by accelerator pedal (SS only; used on BB Turbo 400 cars, all BB cars were SS) -SS gauge package (SS only) -6,500 rpm redline tachometer (only used on L78 and LS6, only LS6 used when this car was built) -SS door panel badges/SS interior (SS only) -14" SS wheels (SS only) All the above are original to the car and are part of the SS package (big-block only). Certain items above were only part of the High Output LS-6 package. So, an SS for sure having come with the solid-lifter LS-6 option. Every bit of evidence says "yes," nothing on the car says "no." The car comes with an NOS driver's fender and a perfect used SS passenger fender, as well as another straight chrome rear bumper.This is a very rare, very desirable car... one of "the" ones to have when restored.
