Selling as a whole parts car: 1982 Rabbit LS Diesel 4 Speed. This is a Texas car, and has very little rust throughout. The car was purchased in Irving TX. by myself and the cylinder head failed upon arrival in Dallas TX. The car was towed to Hinga's Automotive in downtown Dallas TX. where the engine was gone through and the head was replaced with an OEM unit. After being repaired, I drove the car back to Austin TX. with no mechanical issues along the way. The car is not currently running because I have removed the timing belt and tensioner in order to replace it for my own piece of mind. I will leave this job up to the purchaser. The car has a 4 speed manual transmission, sunroof car, solid quarter windows (I removed the horrible vent windows and installed these), MK3 VW wiper motor conversion with intermittent relay (works great!) The suspension needs to be entirely gone through, and the car obviously needs to be sorted cosmetically if so desired by the purchaser. TEXAS TITLE: I have submitted the Texas title to the tax office locally to be put in my name, and I am waiting for it's arrival through USPS mail. I can not promise that it will arrive to me by the end of the auction, but never the less it will be supplied to the purchaser.
