1958 Ariel Red Hunter VH 500cc motorcycle! I rebuilt this bike from a basket case years ago. It runs & drives. Please look closely at the pictures before bidding. Any questions or concerns feel free to message me thru Ebay. Frame # CAPR13126 Engine # EXHS99 Draganfly says they have no record of this engine #. it appears to be original stamped EXHS99 (see pic). I asked if it could be EXport, but they said that was a different prefix. Experimental perhaps? I have no idea.. intriguing! Gearbox # 930 GB44A55 696 Upper engine has been rebuilt. New rings (piston was professionally machined to accommodate the ring set from Draganfly). Generator: tests good but doesn't seem to be charging. might be a wire or i don't know what. Rear tire is a new Avon MKII 3.50-19. Front tire came with the bike, Pirelli brand and in decent shape. Rims and handlebars in nice shape, with only minor pitting. Fuel tank has been freshly epoxy coated inside, was just minor surface rust beforehand. New rear shocks. Amateur paintjob. Many parts I've ordered from Draganfly Motorcycles in London, England. I got original pieces when possible, otherwise I ordered their reproduction parts. Draganfly non-original reproduction parts: Nacelle (fiberglass), ammeter, light switch, seat & cover, petcock, battery strap & box, exhaust pipe and muffler. Non-original parts: oil tank cap, Hagon shocks, rear fender (custom V-twin rear fender), handlebar grips & Smiths reproduction speedometer (not calibrated). For non-original parts i modified those instead of the original, so it can be righted if the buyer so wishes. Bike is missing Air Filter, it comes w/ dipper switch & horn, but they need work (unsure if they can be saved). Center stand is included: it's a bit bent and needs paint. The previous owner asked for the little green reflectors on the front fender, so they're no longer on the bike. Also comes with paperback book: The Ariel Story (A History of the Ariel Motorcycle) by: Peter Hartley. Draganfly workshop manual, 2 tools for fork disassembly, wrench for rear shock adjustment, flywheel puller tool. The rubber fork boots have gone bad and need to be replaced. Bike is in decent, ridable condition, tho it could use tuning up and repaint for excellent condition. There's minor things wrong like i don't have the decompressor hooked up and adjusted, tho the parts are there to do so. I'd say the bike is 95+% complete but needs tuning and TLC from someone more into it than I am. ONLY BID IF YOU ARE SERIOUS. $500 deposit due by Paypal immediately upon auction end.
