Vehicle Detail
Very nice and very original Bridgestone 175 motorcycle. These bikes are very rare and this one is very nice, low mileage(4628) example. It has a two cylinder/two stroke engine that revs up in a hurry. The auto injection(as pridefully boasted on both side panels) works great, so no manual/messy mixing of two stroke oil and gas. Everything works on this bike: lights, horn, brakes, speedo/odo. It has a new battery with a full charge on it. Carbs recently cleaned and new fuel lines and filters in place. Wheels and exhaust and most metal parts are in good shape. The gas tank is also in great shape with no dents and original red paint. Paint is faded on top, but it has a beautiful patina and it would be shame to repaint it since it's as painted at the factory. It even has the original BS emblems on each side. Tires look to be original(Bridgestones of course ! ) and should probably be replaced for hard mountain riding. The rubber boot intakes from the air filter to the carbs are cracked, but they function fine with the black tape. There is light surface rust on the rear fender under the seat. These are the only negatives I can see on this bike. Overall, just a great, vintage machine. It starts right up within two kicks. Check out the videos for a walk around and a start up and rev up. This bike looks great and runs even better. It revs up quickly and has a nice top end hit with that awesome little two stroke twin engine. It has no trouble keeping up with more modern, larger displacement machines. Especially in the curves. A very cool feature on the transmission: you can use the 4 speed rotary shift, which is four gears all down and then once in 4th, if you tap down one more time, you are back in neutral. Or, you can use a more conventional 5 speed option, that is one up and 4 gears down. There is an arm on the transmission that lets you switch between the two. There is no title(no feature in Ebay to show this), but I have a form T-22b, which is a police inspection that shows the bike is not stolen. Also will provide a bill of sale, in most states, these two documents will allow you to register it in your state, but please check with your individual state before bidding. Again, there is NO title. If you need me to register the bike in Georgia, I can do it, but it will add 175.00 fee to hassle with the purchasing of insurance and the registration fees. This bike is not a new machine. It will have scratches/imperfections and show wear from being ridden since 1971. It is not a restored machine. If you are looking for a spotless, perfect machine, please buy a new one or a restored one. Sorry, but I'm sure you guys have have had dealings with people expecting a perfect bike when buying an unrestored/original bike. I invite you to inspect the bike in person if you have any qualms at all about this fine motorcycle. If you would like to see this bike in person in Atlanta, I would be happy to show it to you. Just email me and we'll set it up. If you have less than a 90% approval rating, are new to Ebay or have less than 5 tranactions, please email me before bidding. Bike is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Someone is going to get a very cool, very nice, retro/vintage machine. Get ready to attract a lot of attention as no one has ever seen one before, and won't know what it is ! On Feb-26-14 at 17:36:21 PST, seller added the following information: On Mar-03-14 at 18:18:57 PST, seller added the following information: I am told that the MII RS on the side panel indicates the motorhas 200cc's, not 175. Makes sense, as the bike pulls really strongfor such a small capacity motor. I never would have guessed 25ccwould make such a difference !
